AEDT 2a Service Pack 2 (2a SP2) was released on February 15, 2014. This
service pack addresses problems with altitude control, ASIF, and terrain
processing as well as increases the speed of AEDT 2a for the Optimization of
Airspace & Procedures in the Metroplex (OAPM) use case. The service pack is available to
existing users of AEDT 2a free of charge; existing users should download the
update from the Downloads section of the website. Please send questions

AEDT 2a is a runway-to-runway tool that was designed specifically to replace the legacy tool
the Noise Integrated Routing System (NIRS – regional noise analysis) and thus is
mandated by the FAA to be used in place of NIRS. The primary purpose of AEDT 2a is to model the
environmental consequences of air traffic airspace and procedure actions being designed and implemented
by the FAA’s Air Traffic Organization.

AEDT 2a System Requirements and Specifications
The recommended specifications are listed with suggested minimums where applicable.
AEDT is a stand-alone Windows based application. However, through the use of Microsoft
SQL Server connectivity, it is possible to connect multiple
computational clients to one central database server. AEDT 2a requires administrative privileges for installation and execution.
