Rules of Behavior

The rules of behavior contained in this document below are to be followed by all users. The practices required below are designed to minimize security risks for this support website and the end user. All users will be held accountable for their actions associated with the access and intended use of this website.

Violation of these Rules of Behavior, may result in prompt removal of your privilege to access this website. Federal law also provides for punishment consisting of a fine under Title 18, U.S. Code and up to 10 years in jail for anyone who intentionally accesses a government information system without authorization, and alters, damages, or destroys information, or prevents authorized use of the system.
FAA Information Systems Security Policy and Procedures
The rules described in this document are consistent with FAA and Government security policy, procedures, and related documents. Copies of these documents are available online.
Passwords
Passwords must meet DOT standards in complexity and are to be changed every 90 days. After 90 days the user will be asked to change their password upon login. In the case where your password is compromised, please change it immediately and report the incident to AEDT Support team at aedt-support@dot.gov.
Protection of Copyright Licenses (Software)
Users shall not install unauthorized/unlicensed software on any device. In the normal execution of their function, users must comply with the FAA AEDT End User License Agreement (EULA)
Cyber Incident
If you are aware of security event or an incident such as your AEDT user account being compromised, you must report it immediately to AEDT Support team at aedt-support@dot.gov.
Inappropriate Uses of Access
The user will not perform activities for the purpose of assessing vulnerabilities of the network. The user will not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any resources within the FAA or any networks connected to the FAA including the Internet.
